Wouldja look what it is!

I got a crazy rush of nostalgia earlier this evening via 'Recommended' videos on Youtube. One of them was a Gravitation fan-video to the tune 'Spicy Marmalade' and the whole thing sent me way back to the days of my Junior Certificate when my dA account was young and I was active on Sheezyart.
I call myself a DAFamily enthusiast yet I listen to a disturbing small amount of those 'golden era' acts like Kinya and Sakkan.

ANYWAY; a quick sketch that turned into a colouring exercise in Photoshop. Does anyone else notice the 'character standing in white, unfilled space' thing that's been showing up in my drawings lately?

SHOE-E-CHEE and Y00KEY- Maki 'X-ray colon' Murakami and her associates.

I clicked on this thinking 'what a departure from scales' usual style, that's a frighteningly moe little gir-ARRRRRRRRRRRRRGH'

If Yuki had looked the refreshingly grizzled for most of the series I would have probably finished it. /sob
ALSO YES. OVERDOSING YOURSELF ON HIGH AMOUNTS OF GIOVANNI AND BLIND GAME AGAIN ARE TOTALLY NECESSARY

Ah Gravi is allways good for a nostalgia kick! (and a reminder that there is more to DA fam than Iceman and Mads)

As allways I love your characterisation (could Shu be anymore Shota bate right now??) and I'm very much enamoured of that b+w picture background!

(totaly faved)

Hahaha; Shuichi is a moe little girrrrl. [Despite my general ignorance about Japanese terms and stuff I now know 'Moe' and 'Tsundere'. I AM LEARNING!]

don't worry about not finishing it; I never even watched/read Gravitation! I just knew the music and the storyline [if it could be called that] from my friend Shu. Damn, I miss him.

YES I'VE BEEN LISTENING TO KOI NO SURVIVAL NIGHT FEVER ON REPEAT WITH HOT DASHINGS OF RAGE BEAT. Stupid super Friday nerds!

Haha, yeah; it's a good way of reminding yourself that DAFamily actually goes beyond DA. :p
I think Gravitation would have been pretty cool if it was openly a DAFamily doujinshi. </geek>

I always saw Shuichi as a shota, probably because Yuki was so bloody creepy and that the little man was in highschool. WHY WAS HE SO SMALL IN COMPARISON TO YUKI, MAN. WHY?!

Aw, cheers for the fave!

Oddly it'd probably have ended out even wierder if it'd been a proper DA fam doji!!!

(though truly epix because of it!!!)

I think being tiny is a uke thing that will never be explained...I mean it's like the random large handedness of semes...

you deserve it and you know it!!!
:iconscales:
Still, I suppose Gravitation acts as a nice filter to keep the major dweebs out of the fandom. Because, you know, we're so cool. :iconimcoolplz:

The size difference thing[when it's that massive] freaks me out a bit, especially when ONE hand is bigger than the uke-kid's butt. That's just... D:
